How It Works

No cart. No checkout.
A proposal built for you.

RedGround is not a shopping site. It's a technical procurement channel — you specify what you need, we price it properly, and you decide. No surprises, no padding, no guesswork.

Same day
Proposal turnaround for RFQs submitted before 3 pm EAT
No account
Required to browse, add to RFQ list, or submit a request
ICC terms
Every proposal includes clear Incoterms, lead times, and alternatives
The process

Four steps. Fully transparent.

From browsing technical stock to receiving a costed proposal — the entire flow is built around precision and speed.

01

Browse & Specify

Search the catalogue by part number, spec, brand, or category. Filter by voltage, size, rating — whatever your spec sheet demands.

No account needed
02

Build Your RFQ List

Add items to your RFQ basket with quantities. Include notes, your project reference, and any alternatives you'll consider.

Saved in session
03

Receive a Proposal

Our team reviews your list, confirms availability and lead times, applies Incoterms, and sends you a detailed commercial proposal.

Same business day
04

Confirm & Deliver

Review, accept, and we handle the rest — import, customs, logistics, delivery to your site or clearing agent.

EAT-based logistics
Why RFQ instead of a cart?

Procurement-grade pricing. Not e-commerce.

A fixed price tag cannot account for import conditions, currency fluctuation, bulk breaks, or end-of-line availability. An RFQ can.

Live exchange rate pricing

Technical components are sourced internationally. Your proposal reflects actual landed cost at the day's rate — not a padded buffer to protect margin.

Alternatives & substitutions

If your specified part has a long lead time, we'll include qualified alternatives at the equivalent spec so you can make an informed decision.

Volume and lot pricing

Ordering 500 units versus 5 changes the economics entirely. RFQ pricing accounts for lot sizes, minimum order quantities, and freight per unit.

What you receive

A full commercial proposal — not a quote sheet.

Every proposal from RedGround is a structured commercial document suitable for internal approval, purchase order issuance, or project cost submission.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

RFQs submitted before 3 pm EAT on a business day are typically responded to same day. More complex or multi-supplier lists may require until the following morning. You'll receive a confirmation immediately on submission.
No. You can browse the full catalogue and submit an RFQ with just your name, company, and email address. An account gives you saved history and faster repeat ordering — but it's entirely optional.
Proposals are priced in USD as the base currency, with UGX equivalents applied at the day's rate. The exchange rate used and the proposal's validity period (typically 7 working days) are always clearly stated in the document.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Kampala means RedGround handles everything — shipping, import duties, customs clearance, and delivery to the specified address in Kampala. You pay one inclusive price with no hidden landing costs. Other Incoterms are available on request.
The catalogue represents a curated stock selection but is not exhaustive. Use the RFQ form to submit any item by part number, brand, or specification — our team will source and price it. If it's a common item, we'll also add it to the catalogue.
Yes. RedGround sources only from authorised distributors and verified stockists. All goods come with original manufacturer documentation. Counterfeit or grey-market product is never accepted into our supply chain — if we can't verify origin, we won't supply it.
Credit terms of 30 or 60 days are available for established accounts with a trading history on the platform. To apply, create an account and contact us — we'll review your business profile and advise on eligibility.
Once you accept and issue a purchase order (or confirm in writing), we place the order with the supplier immediately. You'll receive tracking updates at key milestones — supplier dispatch, arrival in Uganda, customs clearance, and final delivery. Account holders can follow this in their dashboard.
